Get in Touch

The first step into therapy is often the hardest – but also the most important.
You don’t have to have it all figured out to begin. Just showing up is already an act of courage.

The first step is to get in touch with me.
To do so, please use the contact form provided on this website. You’re welcome to share a few details about yourself and what you’re currently struggling with.
The more I know about your situation, the better I can prepare for our first conversation.

Schedule an Appointment

Once I receive your inquiry, I’ll get back to you personally. Together, we’ll find a suitable time for our initial consultation.

The first session (50 minutes for individuals / 75 minutes for couples) is a space for us to get to know each other, explore your concerns, and see whether working together feels like a good fit.

There’s no pressure to commit – this meeting is about orientation, openness, and mutual clarity.

Session Format & Duration

I offer sessions either online or in my practice room in Berlin (Gleimstraße 16, 10437).

Scientific studies show that long-term improvement often requires a minimum of 12 to 24 sessions (50 minutes for individuals / 75 minutes for couples) , depending on the nature and depth of the issue.

We typically begin with weekly or bi-weekly sessions, which help build trust, structure, and momentum.
As therapy progresses, we may gradually extend the intervals, so you can apply what we’ve developed more independently in your day-to-day life.

Testimonials

Alex (33), IT-Expert

"Mrs. Green helped me understand myself better and accept my Asperger's diagnosis. I often felt different and excluded, with strong fears of interacting with others. Through shared exposure exercises, I now dare to approach people proactively at private events or at work. Mrs. Green showed me how to best utilize my strengths in both personal and professional contexts and how to independently counteract overstimulation and exhaustion."

Vanessa (33), Start-Up Founder:

“When I approached Mrs. Green, I was a genuine workaholic. There was no day without overtime, and my life seemed to revolve entirely around work. Thanks to Mrs. Green, I not only overcame my burnout but also let go of my ‘people-pleasing’ behavior, enabling me to set sustainable boundaries at work. Her support helped boost my self-worth. I am very grateful for Mrs. Green’s psychological assistance. I wholeheartedly recommend coaching with her.”

Eric (27) and Mustafa (30), Entrepreneur and DJ:

“We never understood what was keeping us from truly committing to each other in our relationship. Mrs. Green could sensitively address our cultural differences, and we realized that it wasn’t a lack of love but simply different perspectives. Since therapy, we communicate better about our needs and feelings, and we’re closer than ever. Honestly, we were initially skeptical about psychological interventions, but we’re genuinely glad we took the leap and tried it. It’s truly an investment in our shared future! Thank you, Melinda.”

Dirk (42), Actor:

"Therapy with Melinda was a personal turning point for me. Receiving the ADHD diagnosis at 41 was initially shocking. Fortunately, I got an appointment with Melinda right away and managed to gain control over my impulsivity, tendency towards alcohol, and the constant pursuit of new stimuli and fulfillment through various projects that I ended up abandoning. My relationship with my wife has also profoundly changed. We understood that my anger stemmed from overstimulation, and I can now prevent it through learned behavioral changes. Additionally, I've learned to strategically use my creativity on stage and consciously take breaks. Thanks to Melinda's help, I managed to avert an impending burnout in time."

Chimanda (25) and Joshua (28), Artist and Bar Manager:

“As a couple from different countries and language backgrounds, arriving in a previously unfamiliar country, and then in winter in gray Berlin, we constantly had conflicts before couples therapy. Both of us felt really taken care of by Mrs. Green, and in the sessions, we even shared some laughs together. She managed to moderate impartially and translated our needs in the relationship for us. It was as if we were newly in love. Now, we’re not only planning to start a family but have also found mutual support in this new place.”

Self-Paying (Private Clients)

You can book sessions directly without a referral or a formal diagnosis.
No documentation is shared with your health insurer.

Ideal if you:

  • want full privacy and flexibility
  • wish to avoid long waiting periods
  • do not want your therapy to appear in insurance records

Private Health Insurance (Germany)

If you’re covered by private health insurance (Privatversicherung), your provider may reimburse between €90–€131 per session, depending on your contract.

Reimbursement is often partial, so please check your individual policy and coverage conditions in advance – especially with Beihilfe or special tariffs.

I’ll provide detailed invoices based on GOÄ/GOP standards for submission to your provider.

Statutory Health Insurance (Kosten-erstattung)

If you're insured with a public (statutory) health insurance provider, therapy in private practice is generally not covered.
However, in exceptional cases, your insurer may reimburse the costs via the "Kostenerstattungsverfahren" – for example, if you’re unable to find a therapy spot with a panel therapist within a reasonable timeframe.

This process requires:

  • documentation of your unsuccessful search
  • a formal application to your insurer
  • patience, as approval is not guaranteed

Couples Therapy (75 min)

Whether online or in person, I support couples facing tension, miscommunication, or recurring conflicts.

It’s often not about “compatibility,” but about unspoken needs, unresolved issues, and old wounds that impact how we relate.

In therapy, we identify these patterns, improve communication, and strengthen connection.

This work is especially helpful in (neuro)diverse, multilingual, or cross-cultural relationships.
